My Recent Travels

One of my passions is traveling. I have visited many places including Brazil, Puerto Rico, Pakistan, Spain, Hawaii and Holland, to name a few. I consider myself the type of traveler that likes to "rough it" and experience the culture the country I'm visiting has to offer. You will not find me at the all-inclusive resort with other tourists or at the spa getting pampered. Sure, occasionally, who doesn't like to indulge in such luxuries, but more often than not, you will not find me at such locations. One of my recent travels led me to Houston, Texas; not the most exotic destination, but surely a memorable trip. What made my trip memorable was the opportunity to meet family I have never met before. My cousin was getting married and family from the Middle East that had never been to the U.S. were able to obtain a visa for the first time. It was great to see many family members I haven't seen in over 20 years and many others whom I met for the first time in Houston. What I found particularly interesting was the vast majority spoke very good English. When I visited Pakistan 25 years ago, nearly no one spoke English.
